ABOUT
I’m Ahmad Alnaimi, a Qatari filmmaker, animator, and visual artist known for weaving emotion and imagination into every frame. My work exists somewhere between reality and dream, often blending live action with animation to tell stories that feel both intimate and expansive.

I didn’t grow up with a traditional path to filmmaking. Instead, I built my craft layer by layer, drawing on my background in Media and Communication from Nottingham Trent University and my Master’s in Film Production from Loyola Marymount University. Along the way, I picked up technical tools in camera operation, lighting design, and ARRI systems, not for their complexity, but to bring ideas to life with intention.

My career spans brand campaigns, original films, and animation projects, each with a signature that leans into curiosity, character, and connection. Past roles include serving as Lead Digital Design Officer at Qatar Airways and developing large-scale visual narratives. More recently, collaborations with NISI SKIN and Happier Camper reflect a style that’s both polished and personal.

When I’m not directing or animating, I paint. Portraits mostly of people, memory, and feeling. It’s all part of the same practice: finding meaning in what I see, in color, in movement, and in story.
